Amprius Technologies, Inc. , a leader in lithium-ion batteries with its silicon anode platform, has signed a letter of intent for a 775,000-square-foot facility in Brighton, Colorado. The plant, which is expected to be operational in 2025, will be built in stages starting with an initial capacity of 500 megawatt hours (MWh) with an outlook of up to five gigawatt hours (GWh) at the initial footprint. This capacity creation is a significant extension of Amprius' production capacity and will meet strong visitor demand for its high-performance silicon anode lithium-ion batteries.
